Appointments

Booking an appointment

The practice uses a variety of patient access methods to ensure adequate access to the practice.

We use a telephone first system for GP appointments. To request a callback, please ring 028 9441 3950 from 8.30am.  Telephone appointment requests are booked by reception staff and triaged by GPs according to clinical need. Patients are offered a face to face appointment if deemed necessary. Alternatively, patients can also present in person at reception. There are a limited number of routine appointments available each day, however medically urgent calls will be accomodated. To prioritize the urgency of the appointments, our reception team will ask you for some details regarding the nature of the call. Reception staff have been trained in Care Navigation and appropriate signposting. We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you.

For appointments with a GP we offer a mixture of:

·   Pre-bookable telephone appointments up to one  week in advance

·   Same day routine call access

·   Same day medically urgent appointments both telephone and face to face

·   Face to face appointments for medicals, procedures, investigations etc

For appointments with a Practice nurse we offer both pre-bookable in advance and on the day:

·    Face to face

·   Telephone appointments
